My work encourages the viewer to observe and reflect in order to develop a greater understanding of how they relate to an internal and external world. I aim to strengthen the connection with people and their environments leading to a more mindful and harmonious living.
My choice of mediums are inspired by experimentation and are subject to change during the creation process. I also utilize a variety of media (photography / film / sculpture / charcoal / paint / installation) organized in tandem, for capturing the essence of form.
All objects, be it physical or mental, are subject to deterioration, decline, and destruction. Through human ignorance, nature is often harmed almost to the point of no return. Therefore I ultimately explore our connection and similarity to nature’s decay. When viewers interact with my work I hope they find a moment of reflection upon their own mortality. In recognizing this, one finds peace and acceptance.
